greater Kilbarrack area. The Management Committee of KCCP saw the
urgent need to set up a youth programme. In **Apply on the website**
KCCP set up ?Youth Matters? to try and break the destructive cycle
of drug misuse.

hands-on experience in developing a Youth Programme for the prevention
of substance abuse. Our work is firmly based on real-life experiences
of youth and this position is aimed at the development and improvement
of our youth programme.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Education to Degree standard preferably in Youth/Community Work and
Addiction
* A minimum of 2 years work experience in the youth sector and team
leader experience
* Ability to engage with target group
* An understanding of Youth Work / Community Work/ Addiction
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with young
people
* Good interpersonal skills including ability to build and maintain
effective working relationships
* Ability to be proactive, use own initiative and work effectively
within a pressurised environment
* Good written communication skills
* Ability to follow organisational guidelines and processes
* Good computer skills
